THERE ARE ALWAY HEROES AMONG US

HONOR THE HEART

“… 4-Year-Old Texas Boy Who Saved Girl From Drowning…”

When I posted this story on Facebook, one of the reactions (and rightly so) was, “where was the parents, the life guard, etc.

My response was, “All of your points are valid, and must be addressed by the people involved. Meanwhile, I choose to focus on the one person who acted unselfishly, without question. Honor the heart. The people who were remiss in their duties … their time will come.”

I believe that. A photojournalist recently stated that, “…there’s way too much negativity in the world…”

There is, but I suspect it’s not that there is so much more, it’s that we immerse our delve into it so much often — non stop in fact. And yes, breathing in or devouring that much sewage will have its effect on society. It akin to living near a toxic dump or land fill.  There damage to your health is inevitable.

But we can choose how much of this we take in, and how we receive and process it. And given that choice, I tend to focus on the positive aspects as much as possible.  In this case, I Honor the Heartof a 4-year-old child, Xander Vento, who knew that life was precious and that you help those who need it.
